A personal training certification opens many doors for your career. You could find your place at a gym, or you could freelance clients on your own. But what if you want something more? What if you want the opportunity to learn and grow by treating clients of varying ages and collaborating with physical therapists? If this sounds like the right next step for your career, you should apply to be an EW personal trainer.
Our trainers often collaborate with our physical therapists to make a client's transition from rehabilitation to exercise seamless and safe.
EW personal trainers don't just work with fit athletes you would find in a regular gym. We see middle school soccer players, NFL athletes, senior citizens, and everyone in between.
Encouraging a healthy lifestyle and promoting safe exercise for all ages - it's why we do what we do.

Still have questions about being a personal trainer at EW? We understand if you do, so here are some answers to questions we've received from fellow applicants.
Full-time trainers will be on the floor for 6-8 hours per day. We can train up to 4 clients per hour teaching classes, but we do mostly private and semi-private (2 clients) training.
We share a functional training space with physical therapists and other trainers. We have access to state-of-the-art Keiser Functional Trainers, kettlebells, dumbbells, Corealign machines, Ultimate Sandbags, TRX, barbells, landmine and resistance bands.
EW trainers should be prepared to meet the needs of any type of client. We get professional athletes, youth, middle age, seniors, and those with special needs as well.
Trainers will go through a period of training and education with our most experienced staff. They will be taught how to design workouts for all types of clients. EW provides continuing education opportunities, as well as accessible consulting about clients from our senior staff, giving trainers the freedom they want and the support they need to be successful.
We have a number of referral sources, including PT's, physicians, word of mouth, and our website. Our physical therapy clinic is the best place to begin looking for clients. A trainer will have the opportunity to work alongside therapists, helping them improve the client experience, while also getting to know and gaining the trust of the potential personal training clients.
