Meet Ally

Licensed Physical Therapist, PT, DPT // Lead EW Yoga Instructor // EW Pilates Instructor // Certified RYT 200 // EW Motion Therapy Homewood

Ally’s passion is making yoga accessible to everyone. “Ally has been extremely successful by blending her knowledge of movement and injury prevention as a Physical Therapist with the mind and body aspects of yoga,” says Jon Delk, COO and partner of EW Motion Therapy. “She has helped her clients achieve better health and vitality by developing a lifelong yoga practice.” As EW’s lead yoga instructor, Ally teaches private, small group, and community classes. She also participates in weekly professional development and is pursuing advanced yoga education geared towards the pre–and postpartum client. Ally founded the EW Yoga program at Good People Brewery with the goal of bringing an effective, safe, and affordable program to the Greater Birmingham area. Additionally, Ally has completed coursework in yoga for trauma survivors and completed CoreAlign and Pilates Mat certification, which she regularly integrates into her yoga practice. Ally enjoys working with teens, clients with dementia, autism, or PTSD; athletes and non-athletes, and anyone who simply wants to move and feel better. “The great thing about yoga,” Ally says, “is that, with proper instruction, it always meets you wherever you are in your motion goals. Whatever you are wanting to get out of an exercise program, you can tailor your yoga practice to meet those needs. Whether it is mobility, stability, or simply stress relief, yoga will help you achieve your motion goals!” Ally is a native of Pelham and has lived in Homewood since 2017.
