FAQs

Answers to most common questions we receive from our provider partners.

What makes EW different from other Physical Therapy practices? EW provides an engaged level of service, where all patients receive individualized treatments in a one-on-one setting.
How many clinics does EW have and where are they located? We have 5 clinic locations in the Birmingham Metro and surrounding areas, and 1 in Tuscaloosa.
How quickly can my patient get in to see a therapist at EW? Patients are called by an EW scheduler within 24 hours of receiving a referral. In many cases, same day appts are available, depending on patient availability.
How do I refer a patient to EW? Fax or email a referral for your patient, along with demographic information, to any of our 6 clinic locations.  A scheduler will then reach out to your patient via phone within 24 business hours.
Do you offer one-on-one patient treatments or group treatments? All of our PT patients receive one-on-one, individualized treatment.
How do EW therapists communicate with a referring provider?

Our therapists will send over a copy of the Initial Patient Evaluation, which includes the plan of care.  Every 4 weeks, if still being treated, the provider will receive a progress note on their patient.

Often times, we’ll have providers that prefer a quick email or phone call/text to update them on their patients, and our therapists will accommodate these requests.

What insurances do you NOT accept?

We do not accept Medicaid.  All other insurances are accepted at all 6 clinic locations.
